Tools and powers
There are a wide range of tools and powers available to the agencies to address issues of Antisocial behaviour and each case will be reviewed to ensure that the correct tools and powers are utilised, by the most appropriate agency.
There is no 'one size fits all' approach to dealing with matters of Antisocial Behaviour. The agencies will however consider early intervention opportunities before progressing to formal approaches, such as legislative powers granted under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Under the legislation, victims of Antisocial Behaviour are able, and encouraged, to request an ASB Case Review (previously known as a Community Trigger). The ASB Case Review gives victims and communities the right to request a review of their case where a local threshold is met, and to bring agencies together to take a joined up, problem-solving approach to find a solution for the victim.
