Reducing energy, water consumption and fuel bills

Steps you can take to reduce carbon emissions and save money.

We can all take steps to reduce our carbon emissions and may save money on energy bills.
As the world population grows, more of us are living water-intensive lifestyles, partly due to an increase in use of household appliances such as power-showers, dishwashers, washing machines and using water for gardening and toilet-flushing. We each use about 150 litres of water per day. The processes of treating, cleaning and pumping water to the point of delivery out of our taps all use energy. This contributes to increases in the amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere. Water is not as abundant as you might think: it's important not to waste it.
