Hythe Park Anniversary Year

A variety of events and activities have been planned to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Hythe Park.

Xplorer - FREE

Wednesday 29 May, 10am to noon and Saturday, 29 June, noon to 3pm

A free orienteering-style activity suitable for the entire family. Collect a map then find the clues hidden in the park, find them all and you get a sticker and certificate.

Tai Chi in the park - £20 for four sessions

Tuesdays, 7 May to 4 June, 10am to 11am

Take time to simply be. Connect deeply to self, others and the surrounding nature. With gentle exercises and moves from the Tai chi form. Meet by the outdoor gym. £20 for four sessions. Contact Sue 07928 752707 to book.

Silent Summer screenings - outdoor cinema

Friday 31 May, 7pm onwards

Anniversary event - FREE

Saturday 29 June, noon to 3pm

Join in the 10 year anniversary celebrations of Hythe Park with live music, nature walks, family activities, food, stalls, refreshments, games and face painting.

Bring a picnic and enjoy your park. Kids, bring a teddy bear for a fancy dress theme of "life in the park" for bears and any owners.

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Outdoor exercise sessions - £6 for six weeks

Saturday 6 July to 10 August, 10am to 11am

An introduction into using the outdoor gym equipment in these relaxed, informal sessions. Chat to the friendly trainer for guidance on how to use the equipment and the best machines to use for the areas you want to work on.

Weedy Sunday - FREE

Could you spare a few hours a month to help look after the park? The last Sunday of every month is Weedy Sunday (weather dependant). Meet at 11am for a couple of hours. Tasks include weeding, planting and watering.
