Business leaders invited to breakfast with Heathrow

Heathrow view

Business leaders across the borough are being invited to a briefing with Heathrow next month, to hear about supply chain opportunities which are available now, once work starts and in the future expanded airport.

The breakfast event will be a chance for managers and executives to hear from Phil Wilbraham, Heathrow Expansion Programme Director at the airport about business opportunities that the expansion will deliver for Runnymede and the surrounding area.

Heathrow is carrying out an extensive consultation as part of its Development Consent Order preparation and while its plans are at an advanced stage, they are by no means set.  The airport is keen to hear and respond to the concerns of business as well as work with them to unlock the opportunities which the expansion creates.

Mr Wilbraham welcomes an interactive session with opportunities for questions and informal discussion during the event.

This rare opportunity to speak with one of the leading members of the Heathrow Expansion Team will take place  on Friday 12 July at the Runnymede on Thames Hotel.  In order to manage numbers, places are limited to 50.  Booking in advance is required via the Business Runnymede website.

Business Runnymede is a partnership between local businesses, chambers of commerce, education, police and borough council. Members work together to support local business and encourage enterprise in the borough.

This is one of four events held annually by Business Runnymede.  For details of upcoming events, as well as regular business updates on what is happening in the Runnymede market, please join the group by signing up for the newsletter and business directory while registering for the breakfast.

Following the Government's announcement of its preference for Heathrow and Parliamentary backing of Heathrow Expansion last June, the Council is committed to working constructively with the airport to secure the best possible results for residents with robust risk management through planning, protection, mitigation and betterment.
