Medium Coronavirus alert level in Runnymede

Runnymede has been placed in the medium category in the Government's new Coronavirus alert levels, together with the majority of other boroughs in Surrey.

The other levels in the three tier system are high and very high.

This government webpage explains what the rules are in areas of England classified as medium. It also provides a postcode checker so you can see the different restrictions in other areas, if you have to travel outside the Borough.

Remember at all times: 'Hands. Face. Space':

  • Wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds.
  • Wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet.
  • Stay two metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or one metre with extra precautions in place, such as wearing face coverings or increasing ventilation indoors.

From Saturday at midnight, Elmbridge borough will be in the high category, where extra restrictions are in place. This is currently the only area of the county with a high alert level.
