It is hoped that the regeneration will be paid for in a number of ways. Central Government, through Homes England, are likely to provide some public subsidy. Some homes will be sold on the open market with some of the surplus from the sales going back in to support the aims of the project. Rents paid to the Council will also go towards paying for the new homes. There may be other sources of funding too which will be explored as we look into whether the project is possible. At the moment we do not know how much the total project would cost. Our consultants, Ridge will provide advice regarding the potential costs associated with the project and potential delivery options – which might involve a partnership with a developer.
