Following the local elections on the 2 May 2024, Runnymede Borough Council remains in No Overall Control.
This is because no one party achieved the required majority of 21 councillors, of the 41 councillors in total.
The new political make up of Runnymede Borough Council is:
- Conservative: 13 councillors
- Green Party: 3 councillors
- Independents: 5 councillors
- Labour and Co-operative: 8 councillors
- Liberal Democrats: 6 councillors
- Runnymede Independent Residents’ Group: 6 councillors
We are waiting for the group leaders to discuss, and for the political groups to be confirmed. We will be able to share more information next week once the group leaders have come to an agreement.
