Regrettably, we have made the decision to cancel the Runnymede Sports Day on Sunday 4 August.
The potential attendance numbers at the event, given school holidays, free participation etc. raised concerns that the site and event as planned, would no longer be suitable. This included consideration of the potential impacts around the immediate area in relation to parking and congestion, particularly around the area of Vicarage Road and the Pooley Green rail crossing. The decision has therefore been taken with the experience and safety of visitors and residents in mind.
If you’re interested in trying a new sport, please do still take the opportunity to look up your local clubs, who’ll be pleased to hear from you. You can also visit the Egham Orbit for classes, family swim sessions, and more.
Look out for our other summer sport activities, including Xplorer, Club4, the Foxhills Community Camp, and the new Pooley Green Friday sessions.
