Over 45 local people and organisations who have made outstanding contributions to the community, sports and fitness, and the arts have been celebrated at the annual Runnymede Civic Awards.
Finalists, who were either award winners or highly commended, were selected from 170 nominations - the most nominations ever received for the awards, and a testament to the dedication and generosity found across Runnymede. The judging panels faced the difficult task of shortlisting 46 inspiring individuals and groups.
The Co-leaders of Runnymede Borough Council said:
"The Civic Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the dedication, passion, and selflessness of individuals and groups who make a real difference in our community. From supporting mental health, creating inclusive spaces, and championing local causes - the impact of their work is truly inspiring.
So many incredible people in our community came together at the awards and each one plays a role in making Runnymede a better place. Congratulations to all the nominees, finalists, and winners - your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do."
