Refusal
We will not offer a settled home in the private rented sector if:
- the household will be vulnerable
- the household requires supported accommodation
- the household is unlikely to be able to sustain a private rented tenancy
- If a member of the household will need adaptations to the property to meet their needs.
What if a private rented sector offer is turned down?
Homeless households will only be made one offer of suitable accommodation. If the accommodation is refused, the household have the right to a review. If the accommodation is found to be suitable, the Council will no longer have the duty to house them.
