Egham and Staines Conservation Volunteers meet once a fortnight throughout the year in the Runnymede and Spelthorne areas. We perform a variety of tasks, all aimed at improving the local environment.

Winter programme

5 January 2025 - Laleham Pond

The access area is being restored by the contractors, we’ll be helping with the planting. Parking at the Scout site next to the pond.


17 January 2025 - The Ranges

Further ecological management at the coppice. Parking in the field or Docket Eddy Lane (weather depending). 


2 February 2025 - Laleham Pond

Working on the areas around the pond to support lower maintenance management. Parking at the Scout site next to the pond.


16 February 2025 - The Ranges

Continuing the coppicing at the plantation. Parking in the field or Docket Eddy Lane (weather depending). 


2 March 2025 - Studios walk

With Spelthorne, we’ll be creating several hibernaculums, to help support biodiversity. Parking in Ash Road. 


16 March 2025 - Hare hill

With local wardens, helping to enhance tree health by creating space for growth. Parking in Howards Lane.


30 March 2025 - Splash meadow

We’re back with Spelthorne Natural History, to help maintain the pond and paths around it. Parking in the area at the end of Old Charlton Road.
