Egham and Staines Conservation Volunteers meet once a fortnight throughout the year in the Runnymede and Spelthorne areas. We perform a variety of tasks, all aimed at improving the local environment.

Make a difference for nature and people. Remove invasive species and encourage native ones. Introduce the next generation to the benefits fo green space.

Spring programme

30 March 2025 - Sunbury park

Working with Spelthorne Natural History, we'll be creating a wildflower area.


13 April 2025 - The Ranges

Continuing our work at the willow plantation. Parking in the field.


27 April 2025 - Black ditch

With Shepperton Village Conservation Group, we'll be cutting back new growth in and around the ditch. Parking in school lane or Burchetts Way.


11 May 2025 - Laleham Pond

Working on the areas around the pond to support lower maintenance management. Parking at the Scout site next to the pond.


25 May 2025 - Hare hill

With local wardens, we’ll be creating a hibernaculum and another stag beetle habitat. Parking in Howards Lane.


8 June 2025 - Chertsey meads

As part of the Big Green Week, we'll be balsam bashing by the Bourne with Runnymede. Parking in first car park (Car Park A) at the end of Mead Lane.


22 June 2025 - Riverside walk

Helping maintains the biodiversity at this site. Parking off the road in Cabrera Ave or Beechmont Ave parking area
