Garage strategy consultation feedback

How we consulted

We recognise that the garage strategy may not be well received by residents who currently use the Council’s garages.

Therefore, we used the consultation period to talk to residents, listen to their concerns, and ensure there was a clear understanding of what we were proposing. Our main ambition was to inform residents before taking any further action.

  • We emailed those who currently rent a garage from the Council
  • We emailed those who are currently on our garage waiting list
  • Created a dedicated web page with information on the garage strategy
  • Held two information events (one held in the evening and one held during the day)
  • An article was included in the online Annual Report
  • An advert was included on relevant Council webpages
  • And residents could email their views to the dedicated Listening inbox listening@runnymede.gov.uk
