Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan update
Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan was adopted on 30 June 2021.
In accordance with Regulation 20 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Runnymede Borough Council has formally 'made' (adopted) the Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan. From the 30 June 2021 it will form part of the statutory development plan for Runnymede. The plan will be used alongside the Runnymede Local Plan 2030, Policy NRM6 of the South East Plan, Surrey County Minerals and Waste Plans to determine planning applications in the neighbourhood area.
The plan includes policies on a range of matters including site allocations, supporting the development of the Tasis School, house mix, design, heritage assets, green and blue infrastructure, local green space and community facilities.
The referendum result was that 471 voters were in favour of the plan, and 82 against. Therefore, the plan has been approved. The adopted Neighbourhood Plan can be viewed at 2021 Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan
