Redesignation of the Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Forum
The Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Forum was initially designated on 11 November 2019. Redesignation is required by the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations after 5 years. At a meeting on the 10 October 2024 the Neighbourhood Forum voted unanimously to submit an application for redesignation, with no change being proposed to the Neighbourhood Area. The application to re-designate the Forum (including the Forum’s constitution) can be viewed below:
The Council is consulting on the redesignation of the Englefield Green Village Forum. The application for forum re-designation is open to public consultation for six weeks from Monday 20 January 2025 until 5pm on Friday 7 March 2025 and representation can be submitted to the Council in writing either by email to planningpolicy@runnymede.gov.uk or by post to:

Representations received after this date will not be considered.
If the forum is redesignated no other organisation or body may be designated for that neighbourhood area until the designation expires or is withdrawn.
Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Plan update
Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Plan was adopted on 31 January 2024.
In accordance with the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, Runnymede Borough Council has formally 'made' (adopted) the Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Plan. It now forms part of the statutory development plan for Runnymede. The plan will be used alongside the Runnymede Local Plan 2030, Policy NRM6 of the South East Plan, Surrey County Minerals and Waste Plans to determine planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

The plan includes policies on a range of matters including high quality design (supported by a Design Code), sustainable construction, historic and natural environment, traffic and transport, local green space, local employment and services, and community facilities.

The referendum took place on 13 December 2023. The result was that 690 voters were in favour of the plan, and 90 against. Therefore, the plan has been approved. The declaration of poll is available below:
