Reasonable adjustments passport

The Reasonable Adjustments Passport is a tool to help you document the support and adjustments that enable you to work effectively during your placement at Runnymede Borough Council.

Purpose of the Passport

  • Record agreed adjustments to support both you and your manager.
  • Ensure continuity of support if you work across different teams or projects.
  • Provide a resource for future placements or new roles, reducing the need for repeated assessments.
  • Empower positive, constructive conversations about workplace adjustments.

Benefits

  • Clear communication: Facilitates open discussions with your manager about your needs.
  • Personalised support: Lets you explain your circumstances in your own words.
  • Consistency: Ensures agreed adjustments are maintained across roles and situations.
  • Flexibility: Helps adapt your work environment, schedule, or methods to suit you.

Ownership and Privacy

  • The passport belongs to you.
  • Copies can be shared with your manager and HR, but only with your consent.
  • You decide how much to disclose, whether verbally or in writing.

Review and Updates

  • Adjustments should be reviewed regularly, at least annually.
  • Reviews can also be requested by you or when your role changes.

By using the passport, we aim to create an inclusive environment where you feel valued and supported, enabling you to thrive.
