Electric vehicles
Choosing an electric vehicle (EV) has the benefit of both reducing your carbon footprint and can help you save money on running costs. These vehicles are becoming increasingly attractive due to their lower running costs and the expanding range of models available. The Council’s EV Strategy sets out what we will be doing to support the transition towards EV in the future.
There are different types of EV and the sector is developing all the time. The Energy saving trust’s dedicated pages are a useful starting point to understand these different types of vehicles and the benefits of EV more fully.
Still sceptical about EV? The Energy Saving Trust has produced a useful guide that debunks common misconceptions around electric vehicles and demonstrating the benefits they can offer.
For a more in-depth and detailed overview of EV myths and misconceptions, and the realities behind them, take a look at ‘The Little Book of EV myths’ produced by FairCharge.
