School uniform fund

During the Christmas term break the scheme will be open to residents with children at school, to help with the cost of uniforms, winter clothing and shoes. 

We are offering a one-off payment of £50.00 per child of school age attending school, up to a maximum of £150.00. This includes children from nursery age up to school Year 11.

When can I apply

Applications for the fund will be open between 22 December 2024 and 21 January 2025. 

Who can apply for a voucher?

As the parent or guardian, you must be liable for Council Tax in Runnymede Borough Council area.

The child must be attending school and be between nursery age and school year 11.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their household income is below £38,300 per year and have savings of less than £6,000
The following information must be supplied:

  • National Insurance number
  • latest two consecutive months bank/building society statements for all accounts held in the household. These must clearly show: 
    • name(s) of the account holder
    • all transactions (including income, fuel bills, rent and regular payments where possible)
    • sufficient evidence to prove that the household income is below £38,300 per year and has less than £6,000 in savings.  

Vouchers

Any payment will be made in the form of Huggg vouchers that can be exchanged for credit at the following stores: Clarks, Marks & Spencer. Primark, Asda, Sainsbury’s or Tesco.

Please be aware these stores may restrict the items you can buy to ensure it is used for the purchase of children’s clothing.
